Karen Scheiner – Obedience, Rally & Handling lessons

Karen has been involved in training dogs for more than 30 years.  She is an AKC conformation judge as well as an AKC obedience judge. She has been a CGC evaluator for over 20 years, and is also an ATT (AKC Temperament Test) judge and an ACT (agility) judge.  Karen serves on the board of directors for Burlington County Kennel Club, the Dachshund Club of NJ, and the Poodle Obedience Training Club of Greater NY.

 Once a practicing attorney, Karen now devotes herself full-time to training and showing dogs and has never looked back. Her toy poodle has successfully competed in Obedience and Agility, earning top titles of CDX, UDX and MACH3. Her dachshunds, most of whom are also breed champions, have the rare distinction of earning CDX and UD titles in obedience, as well as MACH and PACH in agility.  Karen’s dogs have been nationally ranked in their breed and have competed at the AKC Agility Invitationals. In her “free” time, Karen also enjoys competing with her dogs in Scent Work and Fast Cat.

 Karen is very passionate about training dogs, and she loves what she does. Her approach is to keep it upbeat and positive, by using a lot of games and toys in the process.  Always keep your dog wanting more!  A happy dog is a great teammate.

 Karen offers private lessons and classes in Obedience and Rally; private lessons can be arranged for Conformation Handling instruction.
